Shri Dharun Kumar S., IAS
A 2019 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer hailing from Tamil Nadu, Shri Dharun Kumar S, born on 3rd June 1994, completed BE in 2015 from the Institute of Road and Transport Technology, Erode followed by a Master in Public Management from JNU, New Delhi in 2021 as well as an LLM(Pro) from NLU(New Delhi) in 2022.
Shri Dharun Kumar S., IAS assumed charge as the District Collector/Deputy Commissioner, Senapati on 1 June 2026. Prior to his posting in Senapati, he served the Government of Manipur in various capacities, including as Sub-Divisional Officer (SDM), Churachandpur; Block Development Officer, Lamka/Lamka South; Assistant Commissioner, Churachandpur; and District Collector/Deputy Commissioner, Churachandpur.
Shri. Dharun Kumar S. received the prestigious Best District Election Officer Award for “Best Electoral Practices” from Droupadi Murmu during the National Voters’ Day celebrations in January 2025. He was also featured among the “100 Best District Magistrates/Deputy Commissioners of India” in the May 2026 edition of Fame India, recognizing his exemplary leadership, innovative governance, and commitment to citizen-centric public service.
Under the leadership of Dharun Kumar S., Churachandpur gained national recognition during the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan Campaign (2025), while Lamka South secured the 1st Delta Ranking under the Aspirational Blocks Programme in 2024.
